We only planned the trip a week bfr, hence the pricey flight tickets.

26th May, 16 - Settling Down

Arrived at Ngurah Rai Airport, Denpasar

3 hours journey

IDR150K taxi to hotel (myr17 each)

P/s: Don't buy SIMpati simcard at the Airport, way too expensive.

Fun-facts:

Locals and Foreigners

have different price standard.

Ask your tour guide to buy simcard for you.

Mine is IDR75K SIMpati simcard for 2GB (myr25)

Stop at 7E or K Circle for just-in-case

IDR10.5K redbean bun for supper (myr3.50)

IDR5K 1.5litre mineral water (myr1.60)

IDR11K Indo Mee for dinner (myr3.60)

For those who don't really into oily food,

Indo Mee is the ideal to-go-meal.

27th May, 16- 1st Package

Went to Silver Smith Making. Free Entry.

(For those who like jewelries, should go,

those who don't, better skip this)

Had Nasi Padang for lunch. IDR101K for 3 pax (myr11 each)

P/s: Trouble in finding Halal restaurant? Go for Padang or Minang food.

Inform your supir, they know best.

Based on experience, smaller Padang restaurant is more tasty

and way way wayyy cheaper than bigger restaurant.

and, btw, the famous Bebek Tepi Sawah with the paddy-field view is non-halal.

Ubud Market - close at 5pm (*recommended)

To all hipsters, this is your jackpot.

The prices are slightly expensive. 

Master you bargain skills.

Bought a 250cm diameter Dreamcatcher for IDR50K (myr16 bargained)

Bought heavenly fresh coconut drink for IDR21K (myr7)

28th May, 16 - 2nd package

Pura Taman Ayun. Entry Fees IDR60K for 3 pax (myr6 each)

Fun-facts:

Pura means temple.

Bali's traffic is busy and congested.

Honking is normal.

Helmet is based on belief, can choose to wear or not.

Roadtax is shown on the plate number.

Stopped by at Bali's Luwak Coffee.

Experience different type of coffee for free.

Went up to Gunung Kitamani

Had lunch at the famous Mentari Restaurant at Kitamani.

Super expensive IDR120K per person (myr40 each)

Located along the Kitamani hill

The view was nice but the food did not reach my expectation (not recommended) 

bought buah salak & coconut drink (**highly recommended) 

Pura Ulun Danu. Entry Fees IDR90K for 3 pax (myr10 each)

Breathtaking view

You can spot this Pura on the IDR50K.

Jati Luih Rice Terrace. Entry Fees IDR90K for 3 pax (myr10 each)

A UNESCO World Heritage.

The best thing is,

You can actually walk through the field.

Unfortunately it was raining that day.

But, on the bright side, there are snakes in there.

Make sure to arrive bfr sunset.

29th May, 16 - 3nd package

Tanjung Benoa Beach

Took a IDR1250K package for 4 activities (myr415)

The activities are:

Parasailing

Jetski

Banana Boat

Sea Walker

P/s: Was out of IDR cash, paid using Credit Card.

Do mind that they will charge you 3% extra for Credit Card.

People at Tanjung Benoa was unfriendly.

There are lots of water sport service here, so choose wisely.

Parasailing was fun. (**highly recommended)

You get to sail on your own and control its direction.

Jetski was so-so. Can skip this.

Banana Boat was okay. But I would recommend Parasailing only.

If you need to choose the package (minimum 2), then give Banana Boat a go.

I took their photography service for these activities except Sea Walker

which cost me IDR250K (myr84)

I don't think it's worthy, but I didn't bring any action camera so yeah

some moments just need to be captured.

P/s: Do bring your own gopro. Ha-ha

For Sea Walker pictures, they charge it separately.

IDR300K for underwater Sea Walker (myr100)

which is really expensive, I was thinking to take my phone with me,

But they guilt-tripped me by saying,

there are so many cases of tourists loosing their phone/gopro underwater.

Sea Walker was terrifying but glad I did it.

Worth the experience, but once is enough.

I won't recommend to those who have asthma,

heartache and low blood pressure.

The pressure from the above sea level into deep underwater

was really terrifying. It shocked me greatly.

I was struggling to breathe, it disturbed my hearing as well.

The helmet suit was pretty heavy to pull me to the deep sea.

Down there, you get to feed the fish, but it wasn't that nice tho

I mean, no pretty corals, no pretty fish, just

somewhere in the middle of the ocean.

If you've been to Tioman, you better not try this,

it will totally disappoint you.

And you will be sent down-there alone.

If you came with friends then that's good news

but as for me, I was alone, scared, trying to stabilize myself,

walking on the deep surface wondering

if there is sea monster that would tear me into pieces.

Had dinner at Jimbaran Bay. (**highly recommended)

It was lovely. IDR60K each (myr20)

Don't forget to stop by at the Krisna Ole Ole Khas Bali at Sunset Road

They sell cheap souvenirs. (**highly recommended)

I bought 3 pairs surf pants, 1 aladdin pants,

2 surf T's, & flower candles.

Only cost me IDR300K (myr100)

--------------------------------------------DAY 5-------------------------------------------

30th May, 16 - add on: 4th package

Balinese Massage USD120 for 3 pax (myr160 each)

Time to relax those muscles after the long journey bfr going back.

Supir sent us here and later the massage shop will send us to the airport.

Save IDR150 for transportation (myr17)

(**highly recommended)

So relaxing, they massaged the whole body for 1 hour

Pulled every muscle leaving you fresh and more relaxed.

P/s: Do get something to eat bfr heading to the airport.

Airport food is a bit expensive, hard to get halal food

and it tasted weird (I meant the Sushi Bar)

 Adieu Bali,

Trip Highlight:

I would rate Bali with 3/5

1st package can be traded with something else

but 2nd, 3rd and 4th package is **highly recommended.

Bali Golden Tour is da-bomb,

tip top service and our supir,

En. Jaya is a really nice chap

Taking Tour Guide might cost you more.

What I would suggest is, rent a motorbike

use Waze to navigate you.

I cannot do so, coz I was traveling with my parents.
and don't forget to always bargain on the price.
